- Current post-secondary students applying for the first time to the Oliveira Scholarship Foundation.
AND - Current post-secondary students who are previous recipients of an Oliveira scholarship applying for renewal.

The 2025-26 Oliveira Scholarship Program
Applicants must submit a completed application by March 15, 2025. Only one application per student.
To be eligible, students must plan to attend a post-secondary institution for the 2025-26 school year.
Scholarship award will be based on need and demonstrated academic talent in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as conveyed through this application and supporting documents. The goal of the Oliveira Foundation is to provide scholarships to individuals from the Minneapolis and St. Paul area who demonstrate financial need to pursue STEM careers.
Scholarship funds may only be applied to tuition, room and board.
Scholarships are based on the following the following scale.
Sophomores (2-Year Program) | $2,000 |
Sophomores (4-Year Program) | $4,000 |
Juniors | $4,000-$6,000 |
Seniors | $6,000-$8,000 |
Scholarship Requirements:
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 point scale in a STEM field of study
Family Adjusted Gross Income of $180,000 or less.
Demonstrated passion for future STEM career
United States residency and a graduate of a Twin Cities area high school (Post-secondary school does NOT have to been in the Twin Cities.)
The foundation will keep a record of each grant request, including supporting materials. This information will not be shared with any individuals or organizations outside of the Oliveira Foundation. The foundation will terminate a scholarship based on failure to report information to the foundation or providing false information.
Your application will not be reviewed until the Oliveira Scholarship Foundation has received a completed application form, your post-secondary transcript, and 2023 Tax Form 1040. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
