This application is for current high school seniors applying for a first time Oliveira Scholarship. Scholarship Details
Applicants must submit a completed application by March 15, 2025. Only one application per student.
To be eligible, students must have applied and plan to attend a post-secondary institution for the 2025-26 school year.
Scholarship award will be based on need and potential academic talent in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as conveyed through this application and supporting documents. The goal of the Oliveira Foundation is to provide scholarships to individuals from the Minneapolis and St. Paul area who demonstrate financial need to pursue STEM careers.
Scholarship awards range from $2,000 for 2-year programs and $4,000 for 4-year programs. Students receiving scholarships are invited to reapply for a renewal of their award in subsequent years.
Scholarship funds may only be applied to tuition, room and board.
Scholarship Requirements:
Family Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $180,000 or less
Demonstrated passion for future STEM career
United States residency and a current high school senior in a Twin Cities area high school
Complete application submitted with high school transcript, a letter of recommendation and 2023 Family Tax Form 1040
The foundation will keep a record of each application, including supporting materials. This information will not be shared with any individuals or organizations outside of the Oliveira Foundation. The foundation will terminate a scholarship based on unsatisfactory academic performance, failure to report information to the foundation, failure to maintain coursework of at least 0.75 of full-time student status or providing false information to the foundation.
Your application will not be reviewed until the Oliveira Scholarship Foundation has received a completed application form, your high school transcript, Tax Form 1040 and a letter of recommendation. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
